DA (Dearness Allowance): It is 17% of basic pay and revised twice a year. It is the single biggest contributor to salary increase without a promotion.
House Rent Allowance (HRA): 24% of basic pay for X cities (Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Hyderabad), 16% for Y cities and 8% for Z cities.
Transport Allowance: ₹3600/month in the cities and ₹1800/month in other places. Apart from this, DA is also provided on TA.
Medical Benefits: Employees, along with their entire family, are provided with medical facilities through CGHS and can avail OPD facilities, hospitalisation and consultation from specialists at government-approved hospitals.
Pension (NPS): The government contributes 14% of your basic salary to your NPS account, and you contribute 10%.
Leave Travel Concession (LTC): Fare for one round trip to home town in two years and anywhere in India in four years will be reimbursed.
Children's Education Allowance: Up to two children, an allowance of up to ₹2250/month is provided for each child.
