    SBI PO 2026 Eligibility Criteria

    To be eligible for SBI PO exam, you need to be an Indian citizen and have a graduation degree from a recognised university and be between 21 to 30 years of age. Final year students can also apply. The most important thing before filling up the application form is to check whether you satisfy the SBI PO eligibility criteria. You will be disqualified if you apply but do not meet the criteria, even if you pass all the exam stages.

    1. Nationality

    Candidates are expected to be:
    • A citizen of India
    • Citizen of Bhutan or Nepal
    • A Tibetan refugee who entered India before 1 January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling
    • A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka or East African countries

    2. Educational Qualification

    You should have graduation degree in any discipline from a university recognised by the Government of India. There is no minimum percentage required. Can final year students apply? Sure! Students in the last year of their graduation are eligible to apply. However, they must provide proof of the completion of their degree by 30 September 2026. If you cannot produce the certificate, you are automatically disqualified.

    SBI PO 2026 Selection Process

    SBI PO selection process comprises of 3 stages i.e. Prelims, Mains and Group Exercise & Interview. Candidates have to clear each stage to be eligible for the next round. Prelims exam is just a screening test and its marks are not counted for final selection. The final merit list is based on the Mains exam and the Group Exercise & Interview round preparation.
